Vote Selena for Class Vice President!
Hey there,
Have you ever run for a leadership job, like captain of a sports team or president of your class at school? Selena is doing just that and needs our advice.

When someone writes in all capital letters, you know they are serious. I think it's awesome that Selena's running for vice president. Women make excellent leaders, if you ask me. My advice for Selena would be to decide why she wants to run and then tell her classmates. Otherwise, they might just think she's in it for popularity or something like that. Selena, tell them why you would serve your class well!

I'M sorry, i'm really upset because I'd already replied/commented on this subject... But when I selected my profile it didn't work.... it deleted everything!!! So sorry if I sound bossy or things like that. But what I said was:
Well, I've never been in these sort of things because my schools never have "enough time" for them. But I have a lot of useful advice that I hope helps you in the long run.
Try getting the peoples' voices heard. The real voice that matters are the voices of the people. Also, it may be going a little too far, but try doing some research on some vice presidents in the past and try using some of their methods that helped them win the political races.
Another is that you should try getting the staffs' two cents into this too. You may not think that this is important, but every voice counts!
Don't say or do mean things to your opponent. I don't know about you but I've watched the movies... and what they do to their opponents... trust me, it isn't pretty. Try working with them instead. But not the point to where you guys are like best friends or something like that, because you have to remember, you're competing against each other.
Think about your past. What good things have you done for your classmates or the entire school? Are you really sure that they were good things? How often have you helped or donated things to school?
Think of what your status is at school. Are you popular? Is your competetor a real challenge?
You have to get into every nook and cranny that youu can in order to win. Get as detailed as possible. Does the school lunch menu have a food makeover? Are the students doing as well as they seem?

Hey, it is sooo awesome that you would like to be a good leader in your school!!!I am Eva, aged 12. You might want to be somebody that everyone likes and wants to vote for. If your kind, thoughtful, generous, funny, get good grades, and if you are someone who people aren't afraid to confide in, you have a very good chance of becoming vice president!! Hope I helped!!

my advice to you, selena is you need to find some of the issues in your school. watch the Suite Life of Zack and Cody in the episode where they both run for president. Zack has convincing advertisments for stuff like ice cream and skate park, but Cody wanted to help in the academics and stuff that really matered. he had some great ideas, and i hope my comment inspired some great ideas in you selena. btw, cody is the person who won president, because he ran for the real reasons, not just for popularity like zack. - veronia t. 11

I ran for school council twice! I didn't win, but I learned a lot about myself, and TOTALLY raised my confidence! Now whenever I do something, I just say "This is nowhere near as big a deal as when you ran for student council! It's easy!" and then things don't seem as hard!

I ran for vice president in fourth and for president in fifth grade. Be yourself.Don't let anything stop you! I didn't win but watevs! I'm STILL on the student council.If you think you can be vice, then shoot the moon! Show everyone why you show be vice.My number one competitor is acutally one of my good friends now.
cool, i would have never had the courage to do that.just stay calm and be yourself chances are that a person that has as much bravery and courage as you do is gonna win and thats is my advice.

you should put posters up on the walls of your school, and hand out flyers. i know all this stuff because i see my friends do it! Remember to have AN AMAZING SPEECH thats the most important thing!!!!!! also hand out like, pinns or pencils, or suckers and candy and stuff i guess

I have been one before, all you need to be is fun to be around, but don't use vulgar words and don't get too crazy.Make your speech exciting with a meaning of i-will-be-the-perfect-one but don't make it pop too much. Make sure you follow the rules of your class but still be fun to be around. Help teachers before and after the speech. Prove yourself that you will be great for the position.
