OK, at first I thought it was just me. When Apple announced the new iPad, all I could think of was that OTHER kind of pad. But maybe, I thought, it's because I think about puberty entirely too much.But no, turns out lots of people, especially girls, had the same reaction. One reporter said, "You can bet there wasn't a woman in the room when they came up with that name." Another joked: It's really cool, but can you swim with it?

I am kinda scared about my period. I'm 10 1/2 and I wish I knew when it was gonna happen. I really try not to think about it, and I try not to worry. It'll come when it comes, you know? I think that what's scaring me, though, is the fact that it could happen any time. What if I'm asleep? What if I'm in a store?...WITH MY DAD? He wouldn't be able to help me then. Mom said to ask any WOMAN when I get my period.
